Mr. Tyler Post

Mr. Tyler Post graduated with his double bachelor's degrees in arts and education from the University of British Columbia and finished his master's degree in education from the University of Toronto, he also accomplish his master's degree in arts. He is an honest and hardworking educator with over 11 years of experience in Canadian-accredited international education. He is a democratic educational leader focused on building genuine team spirit while prioritizing opportunities for individual professional development and personal enrichment.

Mr. Aaron Mitchell 

Mr. Mitchell, originally from Florida, United States, transitioned from a career in chemical engineering, with a Bachelor of Science degree, to education. After teaching English in Korea, he arrived in China in 2019 to teach Mathematics, Pre-calculus, Physics, and Chemistry. Beyond his academic contributions, Mr. Mitchell, an enthusiastic surfer, seeks to inspire his students beyond the classroom. His goal is to be a meaningful mentor, combining his passion for teaching with his love for adventure to positively impact his students' lives.

Ms. Yannie Yan

Ms. Yannie Yan began her teaching career at CYSS in 2019, bringing a rich educational background and a passion for economics and business. She earned her master's degree in Mathematics and Finance from Université de Lille in France, equipping her with a deep understanding of the complex relationship between mathematics and the financial world. At CYSS, Ms. Yan has been dedicated to teaching Business and Economics courses, where she utilizes her expertise to inspire and educate the next generation of business leaders and economists. Her international education and experience add a valuable perspective to her teaching, making her an asset to the CYSS community.

  • Motto : Not only focusing on students' performance, but also discovering and developing students' potential in various aspects, understanding students' needs in development, helping students to recognize themselves and build up their self-confidence.

Mr. Ryan Sullivan

Ryan Sullivan, an educator with both a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Education from the University of New Brunswick, brings a refreshing and innovative approach to learning. He firmly believes that the secret to effective learning lies in engagement with the present moment. By reframing the concept of 'work' into 'play,' Ryan emphasizes the joy and fun inherent in the learning process. This perspective not only makes education more enjoyable for students but also fosters a deeper connection with the material. Ryan's approach to teaching encourages students to embrace their curiosity and find delight in their educational journey, making him a beloved figure among those he teaches.

Ms. May Zhang

Ms. Zhang, originating from Vancouver, Canada, is a dedicated educator equipped with a Master's degree in Education and a certificate in Teaching English as a Second Language. In this academic year, she is set to teach an eclectic mix of courses including Physics, Physical Health and Education, and Entrepreneurship. Beyond her professional commitments, Ms. Zhang has a passion for exploring culinary arts, and enjoying the preparation of a diverse array of dishes. Additionally, she finds pleasure in taking walks around the city, appreciating the urban landscape and its vibrancy. Her multidisciplinary teaching roles and personal interests reflect a versatile and engaged approach to both her professional and personal life.

  • Motto : She believes that students' hard work will always pay off in the end, as long as they are guided along the way. Learning is a life-long journey, and acquiring independent learning skills is more significant than memorizing knowledge.

Mr. Michael Jhudz Jarin

Mr. Mike hails from the Philippines and is a graduate of the Philippine Normal University, the National Center for teacher education, with a Bachelor of Secondary Education majoring in General Science. Additionally, he holds a graduate diploma in science teaching with a major in chemistry from the University of the Philippines - Open University. Having dedicated almost 6 years to teaching in Thailand, he instructs Chem 11 and 12, along with pre-calculus 11 and 12. Outside of the classroom, he finds solace in singing to alleviate stress and homesickness. Mr. Mike is known for being a fun and easy-to-get-along-with person.

Mr. George Woolven

Mr. George Woolven is from Portsmouth, United Kingdom, about 2 hours train away from London. He has a degree in History and Politics and Master’s in China Studies from the University of Edinburgh. He has been teaching English at university level for the past 5 years, concentrating on intercultural awareness and communication. He teaches Spoken English 11, and English Studies 12, and 20th Century World History. He likes to go travelling, swimming, and play badminton.
